Optistat PT

Optistat PT is a closed cycle optical cryostat with temperatures down to 1.5 K without the need for liquid helium. Low base temperature and easy to use. It is the cryostat of choice for applications such as detector cooling requiring low vibration, a low base temperature and a large sample space.

  • Wide temperature range from 1.5  to 300 K
  • 4 K base temperature models are also available
  • Versatile with sample environment available as vacuum or exchange gas
  • Top loading and bottom loading systems available
  • Fast cool down time: cool down to 1.5 K in less than 6 hours
  • Low vibration using a Pulse Tube Refrigerator.  The rotary valve in the cold head directs the helium gas in and out the expansion tubes dropping the temperature to 2.8 K without the use of displacers
  • Electrical measurements via 10-pin electrical feed wire to heat exchanger and/or wired on coax connectors
